Ingredients

• Whole milk - 2 cups
• Granulated sugar - ½ cup
• Unsweetened cocoa powder - ¼ cup
• Cornstarch - 3 tablespoons
• Salt - ¼ teaspoon
• Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
• Butter - 2 tablespoons
• Chopped dark chocolate - 2 ounces

Instructions

   In a medium saucepan, whisk together sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt.

   Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth.

   Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook, whisking constantly, until the mixture begins to thicken and comes to a boil, about 5-7 minutes.

   Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and continue to cook for another 2 minutes, stirring continuously.

   Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract, butter, and chopped chocolate until smooth and well combined.

   Pour the pudding into individual serving dishes or a large bowl.

   Allow to cool slightly, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
